The Magic of Book Buzz

Many of you have asked how you can help support my new book. Thank you! This post is for you....

First, a caveat: self-promotion is excessively painful for me. But there's no way around it: "book buzz" is the magic thing I need. I went with a tiny indie publisher this time around, so there is no behemoth marketing machine behind All Things New. I truly need all the help I can get.

So, if you're game, here's what you can do:

If you're planning to buy All Things New when it comes out, I'd very much appreciate pre-orders — they really matter! It's not just about sales figures -- preorders create buzz among booksellers, the media, and readers. So if you think you want to read (or gift) All Things New, please consider pre-ordering now.

The more pre-orders I get, the more likely the retailers are to recommend and feature my book in their stores and online So thank you in advance!

The other thing you can do is:

There is only so much I can say about my own book before people start un-friending and un-following me. But getting the word out is the only way that All Things New will succeed. So, if you have the time and inclination, please consider posting about the book on social media.

Of course, you can also just tell people about it! In particular, I'd love to get the book in the hands of teens who suffer from anxiety. When I was a kid, books were the thing that helped me know I wasn't weird or different or alone. I'm hoping All Things New can do that for teens (and tweens! and grownups!) suffering from anxiety. Shed some light. Give some hope.

And, if you're a teacher or a librarian (or know one), I'm available for Skype visits with book clubs and school groups in the fall. Just email me if you want to discuss possibilities!

Last, I just want to say THANK YOU to all of you for all the ways you've supported me, my family and my writing over the years. It blesses me so much, truly.
